The long awaited wait for Clixsense to update their site has finally happened but there were more changes then just with how the site looked. The Clixsense team claims to have started this revamp on December 17, 2010 and finally released it March 10,2011 but I think they should have tested just a little more.
The first change was to the actual site. The site looks and runs great but lately I have faced being logged out a lot randomly and there is most likely a site wide ad view problem. What i mean is the ad does not view the whole window it has about a full width 3 pixel line. The script works fine but the view is not favorable for advertisers and might discourage some advertisers from advertising. Clixsense has fixed the problem above ad views are 100% screen now. One thing that has been seen is that there have been a ton of $0.001 ads and a moderate amount of $0.01. As an extra bonus clixsense has decided to give guaranteed ads to members as in the old site many people were not getting ads for a while, now a standard is guaranteed 1 ad and premium is guaranteed 4 ads. Which if you do not upgrade your guaranteed $3.65 a year but if you upgrade your guaranteed $14.60. Now with that being said its not all you will earn, if you install the toolbar you can earn a significant amount more than what is guaranteed.
The second change was to the price for each ad view. The site use to offer $0.01-$5 clicks but now the clicks are $0.001-$0.02. The only thing about the clicks that is good is that now everyone can earn from referrals. Standard members get $0.0001 to $0.005 per referral click and premium members get $0.0004-$0.01 per referral click. With referrals there was also a change. Standard members only earn through 1 level while premium earns through 8 levels.
A third change is the price to upgrade. The price to upgrade has been increased from $10 to $14.95. Now neither of these prices are that bad considering they are for the whole year and they are significantly lower than other sites, it still is an increase in pricing. Only logic I can find about the price increase is because they are opening up to having more payment processors.
Another change is towards the payment processors. They currently have check, alertpay, and paypal, they are working on getting liberty reserve. Currently the cashouts for North America checks and alertpay are $10, paypal is $25, and International checks are $100. A new feature with the cashout by online methods are scheduled weekly on Mondays and checks are mailed out the first Monday of the month.
